Happy Yorkshire Day!

We are proud to manufacture and deliver our reception desks from Halifax in West Yorkshire.

Halifax is Calderdale’s largest town and has one of the most complete Victorian townscapes in Britain, with many impressive buildings, such as the Grade II* listed Town Hall, opened in 1863 and the Halifax Minster, which has been the heart of the local community for over 900 years.

Halifax is also home to the truly unique Grade I listed Piece Hall; the only remaining cloth hall in Britain. The building, which first opened in 1779 has undergone a multi-million Pound refurbishment and reopened to the public on Yorkshire Day, Tuesday 1st August 2017.  We even have a 15-foot-high replica of the Halifax Gibbet, where thieves were beheaded for their crimes!

Our town has been recognised for museums, great entertainment and hospitality.  It even has a pub named after Percy Shaw, the Halifax born inventor of the ‘cats eyes’ reflective road stud.  Halifax blends the old with the new, for example, the historical Victoria Theatre with the new Vue Cinema and the Victorian Borough Market with the modern Woolshops Shopping Centre.

Outside of the town centre we have lots of parks, including Shibden Estate and the Ogden Water Country Park and Nature Reserve.
