The best apps to boost productivity

We’re all carrying a smartphone around our pockets, and chances are, we all make use of our smartphone during work.

But did you know that it can help improve your productivity?

There are certain apps out there for your phone designed to give you a spike in efficiency and here we’re going to look at the best ones out there.

Evernote: Probably the most diverse note taking app out there. Don’t be fooled by the title ‘note taking’ though. It does so much more. Create to do lists, agendas, keep track of work that’s been complete, set reminders – whatever you need from Evernote, it’ll be able to provide it.

And the best thing is everything you do in Evernote is stored in the cloud. So you don’t have to worry about losing notes or not having access to your computer. As long as you have an internet connection you can view your work.

Dropbox – Another cloud-based service, Dropbox allows you to organise everything in one place in the cloud. But instead of sorting documents into categories and giving them tags to find them easily like you can in Evernote, Dropbox is perfect for a whole host of things.

Pictures, training videos, presentations – keep them all safely stowed away. And you can allow other people access to them when needed.

Skype – Need the team together to complete a project on time? Can’t get together because you’re all spread across the country?

Skype should fix that no problem free call or video call your team mates to discuss the work. It’s multi-platform too. So it doesn’t matter whether your colleague has an android or an iPhone!

Google Keep – Yes, another note taking app. But this is one for when you think of something on the fly and don’t really have time to notate in detail. It’s a simple, neat design that allows you to quickly jot down ideas when you have them.

And then when you get to the office, they’re ready and waiting to be expanded on.

Your phone is you personal assistant so make the most out of it.
